Glen B. Streitilmier, 59, of Eagle Grove, died on Saturday, December 17, 2005, at his home in Eagle Grove.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday, December 20, 2005, 1:30 p.m. at the United Methodist Church in Eagle Grove with Rev. Mary K. Green, officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Eagle Grove. He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Streitilmier of Eagle Grove; son, Rod. Streitilmier and wife Margaret of Waukee; two grandchildren Alex and Hannah Streitilmier; sister, Darlene Riley and husband Gary of Creston and brother, Ronnie Streitilmier and wife Kim of Eagle Grove.

Glen B. Streitilmier was born November 25, 1946, in Fort Dodge, Iowa, the son of Bernard and Hazel (Shaw) Streitilmier. He was raised and educated in Eagle Grove, graduating from Eagle Grove High School in 1964. In May 1968, Glen was united in marriage with Mary Morrison in Webster City. The couple made their home in Eagle Grove. Glen worked for Chicago Northwestern Railroad, Umthun Trucking, as a driver and dispatcher for 32 years and had worked for Decker Trucking for the last three years. Glen was a member of the United Methodist Church in Eagle Grove. He loved hunting, fishing, and spending time with his grandchildren. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.

The Foust Funeral Home in Eagle Grove was in charge of the arrangements
