February 28, 1915 --- November 9, 1980

Albert Berven Banks was born on February 28, 1915 at Eagle Grove, Iowa, the son of Hubert and Margaret O'Conner Banks. He died early Sunday morning, Nov. 9, 1980, at the Trinity Regional Hospital in Fort Dodge. He attained the age of 65 years, 8 months and 11 days.

He grew up and attended school in Eagle Grove. On Sept 5, 1940, he was united in marriage to Margie Seamonds of Webster City ay Minneapolis, Minn. To this union were born four children, Francis, Kenneth, Carole Jean and Terry. During World War 2, Albert served in the U. S. Army. He was employed by the Chicago and Northwestern Railroad for many years and retired in 1977. Albert was a member of the American Legion.

He is survived by a daughter, Carole Jean, Mrs. Everett Crystal of Webster City; three sons: Francis A. of Nashville, Tenn.; Kenneth of Seymour; Terry L. of Webster City; 10 grandchildren; two sisters, Mary, Mrs. Kermit Fjetland of Eagle Grove; Myrna, Mrs. Jerry Hunt of Lakefield, Minn.; a brother, Gordon Banks of Eagle Grove and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Kenneth.

Funeral services for Albert B. Banks, 65, were held at the Kastler Babcock Funeral Home in Eagle Grove. On Tuesday afternoon at 3 p.m., Nov. 11, 1980. Rev. Kenneth Reiter, pastor of the United Church of Christ, officiated and burial was in the Rose Hill Cemetery, Eagle Grove. Visitation was held at the funeral home on Monday.
