Last Rites For Harley W. Lindsey
Services were held Monday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. at the Woolstock Methodist church for Harley Wilson Lindsey, 77, who died Thursday, August 20 at his home here in Woolstock. Rev. John Scrivner officiated at the services and interment was made in the French cemetery near Woolstock. Pall bearers were Harlan Yeager, Robert Yeager, Carroll Yeager, Everett Lindsey, Jr., John Reimers and Arthur Reimers.

Harley Wilson Lindsey, son of Lafe and Ella Lindsey was born in Flora, Ill., on January 3, 1876. Hewas united in marriage to Florence Cash on September 15, 1897. Mr. Lindsey worked on the B. and OA railroad until he and his wife came to Iowa in 1920 and engaged in farming until 1942. In 1942 they moved to their home in Woolstock where he worked as a carpenter until his health failed.

Mr. Lindsey was preceded in death by one son Everett who died at the age of 42 in 1942, by his mother and father and two brothers. He is survived by his wife and two daughters, Mrs. Noble Yeager of Webster City and Mrs. Art Reimers Sr. of Duncombe and a daughter-in-law Mrs. Don Kastler of Woolstock. Others surviving are one sister, Mrs. Fannien Paine of Rock Falls, Ill.; two brothers, Will Lindsey of Flora, Ill. and Harvey Lindsey of St. Louis, Mo., 19 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

Mr. Lindsey was a kind and loving father, a hard working man who was always ready to help when needed. He will be missed by everyone who knew him.

Those who attended from out of state were Mrs. Fannie Paine and son Dale of Flora, Ill., Mrs. Gale Ackerman and Mrs. Fred Voman of Fairmont, Minn.; Mrs. Dick Russell and Mrs. Nell Williams and Ruth Cash of Indianola; Mr. and Mrs. Merle Yeager and Linda of Texas and many other relatives from Ft. Dodge, Vincent, Forest City, Webster City, Eagle Grove and Clarion.
