John C. Sandall, died on Tuesday, April 30, 2002, at the Wright Medical Center in Clarion, Iowa, at the age of 77.

Survivors include his wife, Alma, Eagle Grove, Iowa; three daughters, Laurie Barker, and husband, David, Columbus, Ohio, Kathleen Klein, and husband, Dave, Kearney, Neb., and Elaine Schope, and husband, Wayne, Eagle Grove; four grandchildren; one sister, Janice Scott, and husband, Paul, Auburn, Neb.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

John Calvin "Cal" Sandall, the son of David A. and Kathryn E. (Dorsey) Sandall, was born on November 22, 1924, in Bassett, Neb. He was raised and educated in the area of his birth, graduating from Rock County High School in Bassett. He farmed near Bassett for 50 years. He was united in marriage with Alma Marie Shald on July 1, 1961, in Bassett. They resided in Bassett for a number of years, Norfolk, Neb., for 13 years, and Eagle Grove, Iowa, for 2 months. He was a member of I.O.O.F. #46, Norfolk, and served as past Noble Grand.

Funeral services were held Saturday, May 4, at 10:30 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in Norfolk, Neb., with Reverend William Notlage-Taccy officiating. Burial was held in the Bethesda Cemetery in Bradshaw, Neb.

Foust Funeral Home of Eagle Grove was in charge of the arrangements.
