Louis D. Larson funeral Monday
Lewis D. Larson, 87, died Saturday at the Rotary Ann Home infirmary after a long illness. He had
been a resident there for the past year. Mr. Larson, a long time resident of Eagle Grove, was a retired Chicago and North Western R.R. conductor.

He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Jack Comstock of Sanborn, and two grandchildren, four greatgrandchildren. Other survivors are two brothers and two sisters, Oscar Larson of Eagle Grove, Elmer Larson of Ashland, Wisc., Mrs. Loren Dubois, and Mrs. Del Agnew of Sioux Rapids.

Funeral services were held Monday morning at the Kastler, Babcock, DeYoung Funeral home with Rev. Donald Callen of the United Methodist Church officiating. Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery.

OBITUARY
Louis D. Larson, the son of Lars and Kathrine Wasmuth Larson, was born January 8, 1980, at Bergen, Norway. At the age of two he came to the United States with his parents. He attended school at Marathon and Spencer. On March 3, 1915 he was married to Emma Mattson of Paullina and Yankton, S.D. Following their marriage they made their home in various towns including Burt and Sioux Rapids before settling in Eagle Grove in 1931. Louis was a conductor on the Chicago and Northwestern Railroad until December 1959 when he retired. Mrs. Larson died in 1964. Louis had been a resident at the Rotary Ann Home for the past year. He died Saturday, August 20 at the Rotary Ann Home in Eagle Grove at the age of 87 years, seven months, and 12 days.

Survivors include a daughter, Prudence (Mrs. John) Comstock, Sanborn; two brothers, Oscar Larson, Eagle Grove and Elmer Larson, Ashland, Wisc.; two sisters, Emma (Mrs. Loren) Dubois, and Irene (Mrs. Del) Agnew, Sioux Rapids; 2 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, two brothers and two sisters.

He was a member of the United Methodist Church, a 50 year Mason and a 50 year member of the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen. Funeral services were held Monday, August 22, at 11 a.m. at Kastler-Babcock-DeYoung Funeral Home, Eagle Grove. Rev. Donald Callen of the United Methodist
Church officiated and burial was in the Rose Hill Cemetery, Eagle Grove.
