Elizabeth Iva Guyer Tollefson
1 March 1895 ----- 22 November 1968

Mrs. Elizabeth Tollefson died Friday, Nov. 22nd at the Rotary Ann Home where she had been a resident for one week. She was 73. Services were held Monday Nov. 25th at the Kastler-Babcock Funeral Home, with Rev. Donald Forbes officiating. Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery.

Survivors include 3 daughters, Madelyn, Mrs. Elston Ashpole, Webster City; Vivian. Mrs. George Wright, Des Moines; and Ruby, Mrs. Claire Freeman, Goldfield; 2 brothers, Earl Guyer, San Point, Idaho; Ray Guyer, Deer Lodge, Mont.; one sister, Mrs. Izetta MacDonald, Seattle, Wash.; 7 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Tollefson was born Mar. 1, 1895 in Black Hawk County, the daughter of John W. and Margaret Burn Guyer. She was educated in the Black Hawk County schools.

She was married Jan. 1, 1913 to Isaac Tollefson at Monongo, N.D. They lived there 9 years and then returned to Iowa. Mrs. Tollefson has been a resident of Eagle Grove for 46 years. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1957.

She was a charter member of the United Methodist Church in Eagle Grove and an active member in the W.C.T.U.
