Isaac Theodore Tollefson
1 May 1880 ---- 26 February 1957

I. T. Tollefson, 76, died at his home on North Lucas Ave., Tuesday evening about 5:30 following a heart attack.

Mr. Tollefson was a former employee of the C and N W and later was a painter. He has been in ill health for the past five years following a previous heart attack.

He is survived by his wife, and three daughters, Mrs. Elston Ashpole, of Cresco; Mrs. George S. Wright of Red Oak and Mrs. Claire Freeman of Goldfield.

Funeral services will be Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Kastler Funeral home. Rev. Kenneth Torvik will officiate. Interment will be in Rose Hill cemetery.

Isaac Theodore Tollefson, born May 1, 1880 at Story City, died at his Eagle Grove home Tuesday, February 26, 1957. On January 1, 1913, he married Elizabeth Guyer at Monongo, N. D. where they continued farming until 1924. Moving to Eagle Grove he worked for the North Western railroad for many years, and then worked as a local painter until he suffered a severe heart attack five years ago.

Preceding him in death, one brother and two sisters. He is survived by his wife, three daughters and six grandchildren. The daughters are Madeline, Mrs. Elston Ashpole, Cresco, Iowa; Vivian, Mrs. George S. Wright, Red Oak, Iowa; Ruby, Mrs. Claire Freeman, Goldfield, Iowa.

Mr. Tollefson was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. Funeral services will be conducted by Pastor Kenneth R. Torvik at the Kastler Funeral Home Friday, March 1, with interment at Rose Hill cemetery.
