Nellie Johanna Johnson Whetsler
28 August 1894 ---- 11 July 1965

Mrs. Frank Whetsler, 70, died early Sunday at the Rotary Ann Retirement Home here. She had not been well the past four years and entered Rotary Ann Home after being at Mercy hospital, Fort Dodge, for four months.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Methodist church with the Rev. Bernard Olson officiating. Burial was in Rose Hill cemetery.

Mrs. Whetsler, the former Nellie Johanna Johnson, was born at Ackley and was married to Frank Whetsler in 1915 at Clinton, Ill. They lived at Kanawha and Corwith before coming to a farm east of Eagle Grove in 1950. She was a member of the Methodist church.

Mrs. Whetsler is survived by her husband; four children, Gerald Whetsler and Mrs. Cecil Berns of Springfield, Mo , Mrs. Verna Xanders of Eagle Grove and Mrs. Arthur Jones of Santa Monica, Calif.; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Also surviving are three brothers and two sisters, Dr. Edward Johnson of Chula Vista,, Calif., the Rev. Frank Johnson of Burlington, the Rev. Paul Johnson of Onawa, Mrs. Anna Gorton of Gardena, Calif., and Mrs. Minnie Mason of Spokane, Wash.
