Kenneth L. Hill, of Grundy Center, Iowa, formerly of Clarion, Iowa, died Wednesday, December 12, 2001, at the Grundy County Memorial Hospital, at the age of 68.

Survivors include his wife, Bonnie, Grundy Center; one daughter, Tammy Strait, and husband, George, Whitten, Iowa; two grandchildren; two brothers, Gary Hill, and wife, Elsie, and Bobby Hill, and wife, Donna, all of Clarion; two sisters, Lorine Meyer, Clarion, and Pat Mickelson, and husband, Keith, Eagle Grove, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother-in-law, Clair Meyer.

Funeral services were held Friday, December 14, at 2 p.m., at the Willim Funeral Home in Clarion, with Father David Beckman of St. John's Catholic Church officiating. Burial was in St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery, rural Clarion.

Kenneth LaVerne Hill was born July 31, 1933, in rural Clarion, the son of Bernard and Mary Reiland Hill. He graduated from Clarion High School in 1951. He served four years in the United States Air Force. He and Bonnie J. Jergenson were married September 21, 1957. He worked for the Iowa Department of Transportation Enforcement Division from 1966 until 1992 when he retired. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Willim Funeral Home in Clarion was in charge of the arrangements.
