Services for Mrs. Carl F. Guse, 79, who died at her home in Iowa Falls Wednesday (December 9, 1970), will be Saturday at the First Congregational Church. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery at Dows. Linn's Funeral Home is in charge.

Florence Mae Guse was born in Ottawa, Illinois April 17, 1891. She attended school in LaSalle County, Illinois and married Herman Guse May 5, 1915. He died December 24, 1926. She married Carl F. Guse, a brother to her first husband, November 28, 1928 at Webster City, Iowa. She was a member of the First Congregational Church, the Averine Rebekah Lodge, the American Legion Auxiliary, the Senior Citizens and the World War I Auxiliary. The couple farmed 14 miles northwest of Iowa Falls until retiring in 1947 and moving here.

Survivors include her husband; two daughters: Mrs. Maurice (Edith) Kreamer of Alberta, Minnesota and Mrs. Dean (Dora) Mumper of Waterloo; three sons: Melvin of Evansdale, Harry of Cedar Rapids and Howard of Boone; 13 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, four brothers and five sisters.
