Albert F.H. Boll

Albert Boll, 77, of Dows, passed away Wednesday, September 2, 2020 at Scenic Manor in Iowa Falls.

Albert Fredrick Herman, son of Henry and Bertha (Bumann) Boll, was born on September 27, 1942 in Marshalltown. As a child, Al and his family moved around a lot, eventually settling in Dows.

On January 1, 1961, Al was united in marriage to Nancy Wilson. To this marriage, Stacie and Brian were born. On November 13, 1971, Al was united in marriage to Donna Weidemann. To this marriage, Michael was born. After Donna’s passing, Al was later united in marriage to Janet Beem on August 12, 2001 and welcomed Janet’s five children into his life.

Al was a hard worker. He worked for Weidemann Inc. and for the city of Dows. He enjoyed splitting wood and even taught his son Michael how to split wood when he was a young boy. He loved to go camping and spend time at the cabin. Often times, you could find Al sitting up at the bar.

Al is survived by his three children Stacie Boll of California, Brian Boll of Oregon, and Michael (Kathy) Boll of Dows; five grandchildren Aaron, Marcus, Madison Rae, Briar and Bailey; great-grandson Nathanial and soon to be great-grandchild; Janet’s children and grandchildren; and many other family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his wives; and his parents.

Memorial services for Albert Boll will be held at 2:30 PM on Saturday, September 12, 2020 at the shelter house in Dows City Park in Dows with Pastor Laurel Meester officiating.

Visitation will be held from 12:30 – 2:30 PM on Saturday, September 12, 2020 at the shelter house in Dows City Park.

Those in attendance will be asked to follow social distancing guidelines.
