Funeral services for Mrs. Carolyn Hinze, 69, were held from the Willim Funeral Home in Dows on Wednesday, March 19 at 11 a.m. Rev. Clyde Sparks of the United Methodist Church in Dows officiated and burial was in the Dows Fairview Cemetery.

Mrs. Hinze died on Monday, March 17, 1986 at the Dows Care Center where she had resided the past four years.

She was born in Millville, New Jersey on February 6, 1917 to Robert and Allie Tilton Taylor. At a very young age, her family moved to Williamstown, New Jersey where she received her education. In 1935, she graduated from the Glassboro High School. On June 7, 1941, she was united in marriage to Henry William Hinze and they made their home in Williamstown until moving to Dows in 1981. In 1982 they entered the Dows Care Center and on February 20 of this year, Henry died.

She is survived by two sons; Robert of Williamstown, Jay of Dows and two grandchildren; Heather and Scott.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Williamstown, where she was the church organist for 42 years and a member of the Eastern Star.
