STORM LAKE, Iowa – Scott Franklin Keister, 67, of Storm Lake, died Saturday at Buena Vista County Hospital of brief illness.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in Sliefert Funeral Home. The Rev. Duane Queen of Lakeside Presbyterian Church will officiate. Burial will be in the Storm Lake Cemetery.

Mr. Keister was born March 21, 1913 in Goldfield. He graduated from Buena Vista College in 1937 and played semiprofessional baseball in North Dakota and with the former Storm Lake Whitecaps. He married the former Vivian Gaffey Dec. 29, 1939 in Sioux City. He taught school in Glidden, Sioux Rapids, Paullina and Hawarden, Iowa, worked as a pharmaceutical salesman and was employed by Buena Vista County. In 1975 he retired.

Survivors include the widow; four daughters, Mrs. Thomas (Holly) Zaun of Raytown, Mo., Mrs. Bill (DeeAnn) Sherman of Willmar, Minn., Mrs. Aaron (Michele) Cameron of Ankeny, and Mrs. Brian (Vicky) Lichtenberg of Broken Bow, Neb.; four brothers, his twin, Watt, and Mack, both of Fresno, Calif., Lon of Waterloo, and Charles Pinkham of Cedar Falls; and nine grandchildren.

Services for Scott Franklin Keister, 67, of Storm Lake, who died of cancer Saturday at Buena Vista County Hospital, will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Sliefert Memorial Chapel in Storm Lake. Burial will be at the Storm Lake Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife; four daughters, including Michele Cameron of Ankeny; four brothers and nine grandchildren.
