Goldfield

Wesley Farmer died of pneumonia Wednesday night, having been ill less than a week. The care of loving hands and hearts and the skill of physicians were unavailing in the battle for the life of this young man. Wesley was the second living son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Farmer of this place. He was born near Owlake in Humboldt county and would have been 24 years of age the 8th of August had he lived. All his life has been spent in Goldfield and vicinity, where he had won many friends by his frank, cheerful disposition. He was a member of the firm of Farmer & Son, proprietors of the Goldfield livery, and was popular as a business man. He had served as a substitute rural mall carrier on three mail routes from Goldfield and gave very faithful and efficient service. In the home and in the business and social circles of the community Wesley will be mourned and missed.

Funeral services were held at the M. E. church Saturday morning and were attended by a very large number of sorrowing relatives and friends. The floral offerings were many and beautiful.

Mr. and Mrs. Cady Templeton of Clarion, Mrs. Pierce of Belmond and Miss Nora Dean, who is teaching near Kanawha, were all called to this place last week by the death of their relative, Wesley Farmer.
