E. S. Beck died at Elmore, Minn., last Saturday morning. He had been ailing for some time from cancer of the stomach, it was supposed. An autopsy revealed the cause of his death. About thirty years ago he was severely injured by a long horned steer and though he apparently recovered, at the examination it was found the stomach and liver had been badly disarranged in the accident. The failure of these organs to perform their proper functions in late years because of the injury was the cause of his failing health and death in the end. —Goldfield Chronicle.
