Services April 15 for Clarion man

Funeral services for Sammie B. Peterson of Clarion were held in the Hauge Lutheran Church, Goldfield, Thursday, April 16, in charge of the pastor, Rev. Al Storry. Mr. Peterson died April 12 at the Clarion Hospital following a lingering illness.

He is survived by his sister, Mrs. Hilda Tuttle, of Clarion.

OBITUARY

Sammie Benjamin Peterson, son of Jacob and Serena Peterson, was born on August 16, 1896 on a farm near Holmes, Iowa. He died at the Community Hospital of. Clarion on the 12th day of April, 1976 at the age of 79 years, 7 months and 26 days. Sammie obtained his education in the Liberty Township school system. He was a farmer in this community for many years and retired from farming on January 4, 1961. At that time he moved into his new home in Clarion where he lived until his departure from this life. Sammie was a veteran of World War I.

He never married. He was a member of the Hauge Lutheran Church. He is survived by a sister, Mrs. Hilda Tuttle, and several ni
