Funeral Services for Mrs. Egemo to Be Held Saturday

EAGLE GROVE–Funeral services for Mrs. Edith Margaret Egemo, 33, who died at the Lutheran hospital in Fort Dodge Thursday, will be held at the Lutheran church at Holmes Saturday, in charge of the Rev. H. S. Fauske of Eagle Grove. Burial Wilson of Eagle Grove will be made in the Goldfield cemetery.

She is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Livingston at Corwith; her husband, Herman A. Egemo; one brother, Arthur Livingston; four daughters, Shuraleen, LaVonne, Wilma and Connie and one son, Erving, all living at home, in Corwith; also, by one sister, Mrs. Floyd Kehl in Mt. Carroll, Ill.

She was born in Hancock county, and had lived all her life in Hancock and Wright counties.

Mother of Five Is Laid to Rest Here Saturday

Mrs. Edith Margaret Egemo was born March 27, 1905, to parents George and Laura Livingston at Corwith, and was baptized in infancy in the Methodist church at Corwith.

On September 11, 1924 she was united in marriage to Herman A. Egemo of Story City, Ia. To this union were born four girls and one boy: Lavonne, Shuraleen, Erving, Wilma and Connie.

Mrs. Egemo with her family had her home on a farm two miles north of Goldfield, where she became ill during the month of February, and died Thursday morning, March 9, 1939, at the Lutheran Hospital, Fort Dodge, Iowa, at the age of 33 years, 11 months and 9 days.

She is preceded in death by one brother Elmer of Corwith, Ia., and is survived by her husband Herman A. Egemo, by her four girls and one boy all at home with their father two miles north of Goldfield, Ia., by her parents George and Laura Livingston, Corwith, Ia., by one sister, Mrs. Ruth Kehl at Mt. Carroll, Ill. and by one brother Arthur, Corwith, Ia.

Mrs. Egemo was a quiet and kind neighbor, a good faithful loving wife and mother, by whom she will be greatly missed.

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at the home and at the Holmes Lutheran Church, conducted by Rev. H. S. Fauske and laid to rest in Glenwood Cemetery, Goldfield, Ia.

Out of town relatives in attendance at the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Kehl of Mt. Carroll, Illinois, and numerous relatives and friends from Ames and Corwith.

CORWITH, IA —Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Kehl of Mt. Carroll, Ill., returned home Monday after visiting with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Livingston, east of Corwith and attending funeral services on Saturday for her sister, Mrs. Herman Egemo, of Goldfield, Iowa.

Edith Egemo Dies

A large number of Corwith people attended the funeral of Mrs. Herman Egemo, at the Lutheran church at Holmes one day last week. Services were in charge of the Rev. H. S. Fauske and burial was made in the Goldfield cemetery [Herman is reportedly buried in the Glenwood Cemetery, but Edith is not listed there.]. Mrs. Egemo, formerly Edith Margaret Livingston, was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Livingston of Corwith and was born at Corwith 33 years ago. In 1926, she was united in marriage to Herman A. Egemo, and later moved to Goldfield. She is survived by her husband, four daughters, Shirleen [Shuraleen], LaVonne, Wilma and Connie; a son, Erving; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Livingston of Corwith; one sister, Mrs. Floyd Kehl of Mt. Carroll, Ill., a brother, Arthur of Corwith.
