Virginia Collins Is Buried Here Monday

Burial services for Miss Virginia Collins, 61, of Perry were held here Monday. Miss Collins died Saturday in the Perry hospital where she had been a patient since December 9th. Previously she had been hospitalized in Waterloo where she had surgery last April.

Miss Collins was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Collins of Eagle Grove. For many years she made her home with her sister Mrs. Harold Walton in Perry. She is survived by four sisters, Mrs. Cecil McNealy of Clinton, Mrs. George Lowery of Waterloo, Miss Gertrude Collins, Mrs. Harold Walton of Perry and one brother Harry Collins of Atlantic.

Funeral services were held in Perry Monday morning at 9:30 and burial was about 12 o'clock in Calvary Cemetery here. The prayer service was in charge of Rev. Thos. O’Toole of Decorah, cousin of the deceased, assisted by Rev. Maurice Mullan, pastor of Sacred Heart church.

Relatives and friends here from out-of-town were Mrs. Walton and sons, David, Jim, and Dick. Mrs. Cecil McNealey and daughter, and sons, Bob and Bill of Clinton, Harry Collins of Atlantic; Mrs. George Lowery and daughter Mary Ann, Dr. and Mrs. Roger O'Toole, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Burrell, and Mrs. Clem Gabel of Waterloo; Mr. and Mrs. Matt Agnes of Fort Dodge;

Mrs. Flo Royal of Chico, Mrs. Floyd Larson of Lake City, Miss Alice O’Toole and Mrs. Margaret Murphy went to Perry Sunday afternoon and were present at the church services. Following the graveside rites, relatives were entertained at luncheon in the home of Mrs. N. F. Stewart.

Miss Collins, 61, Succumbs Today
Miss Virginia Kathleen Collins, 61, sister of Mrs. Harold Walton of Perry, died at King's Daughters Hospital at 6:08 a.m. Saturday. Her death was attributed to a general breakdown.

Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Monday at St. Patrick's Church with the Rev. Fr. E. A. Donahue officiating. Burial will be at the Eagle Grove Cemetery. The Workman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Rosary will be at the funeral home Sunday at 8 p.m. and be conducted by The Rosary Group.

Miss Collins was born Sept. 21, 1892, at Eagle Grove [Tama county, Iowa], the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William H. Collins. She had made her home in Perry for the past 13 years with Mrs. Walton. She is survived by four sisters, including Mrs. Walton, and one brother. Her parents preceded her in death. Miss Collins, a member of the Catholic Church, had attended Sacred Heart School at Eagle Grove, Iowa.

Hold Final Services for Miss Collins, 61
Funeral services for Miss Virginia Kathleen Collins, 61, were held at 9 a.m. at St. Patrick's Church with the Rev. Fr. E. A. Donahue officiating. Casket bearers were Dr. J. E. Kelley, Dr. T. J. McDonnell, G. E. Whitehead, Otto Mau, Matt Agnes of Ft. Dodge and James Graney.

Burial was at the Eagle Grove cemetery. Casket bearers serving at Eagle Grove were Tom Kenefick, Dr. Van Zwol, M. B. Crabbe, Jerry O'Toole, Kenneth Cole and John Henneberry. The Rev. Fr. M. Mullan of Eagle Grove officiated at the committal service. The Workman Funeral Home at Perry had charge of the arrangements.

Miss. Collins, sister of Mrs. Mildred Walton of Perry, had made her home here for the past 13 years. She died Saturday at King's Daughters Hospital as the result of a general breakdown.

She is survived by four sisters and one brother. Her parents preceded her in death.
