Harlan Charles Adolph Espe

Harlan C. Espe, 66, retired Kanawha area farmer who had been living in Clarion, died Thursday at a Rochester, Minn., hospital. Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday at St. John's Lutheran Church south of Kanawha. Burial will be in the Norway Township Cemetery. Visitation is until 11 a.m. Saturday at the Eyler-Willim Funeral Home in Clarion.

Mr. Espe was president of St. John's Lutheran Church board and a past board member of a Rural Electric Association and Wright County Farm Bureau.

Survivors include his wife, Azile; two sons, Charles, New Richland, Minn., and Paul, Burt; two daughters, Joanne Madsen, St. Paul, Minn., and Marilyn Sherwindt, Columbus, Ohio; 11 grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Glenn Russell, Kanawha; two brothers, LeRoy Espe, Portland, Ore., and Lawrence Espe, Clarion.
