Alberta Lillian (Mitchell) Maland
June 28, 1910 ---- January 8, 1985

Funeral services for Mrs. Lismore (Alberta) Maland, 74, of Kanawha, who died Tuesday (Jan. 8, 1985) at the Clarion hospital, will be 1:30 p.m. Friday at St. John's Lutheran Church, south of Kanawha. The Rev. William Perkins will officiate and burial will be in Norway Township Cemetery, near Kanawha. Visitation will be after 11 a.m. today at Carter Funeral Home, Kanawha.

Born June 28, 1910 near Corwith, Mrs. Maland was a graduate of Corwith High School and attended Iowa State Teachers College, Cedar Falls. She taught school for a time and later worked as an auditor at the former Hanford Hotel in Mason City. She married Lismore Maland on Nov. 1, 1947. They farmed south of Kanawha. Mrs. Maland was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, the ALCW and a 50-year member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

Survivors include her husband, Lismore; one son, Mark, at home; one sister, Ellen Mitchell, Corwith; and one brother, Robert Mitchell, Corwith.
