Claude Agard Died Sunday

Claude E. Agard, 74, died at 4:30 p.m. Sunday at the Hamilton County hospital. He had been in ill health the past two years.

Funeral, services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Foster funeral home with the Rev. Kenneth Torvik of Eagle Grove officiating and with burial in the Goldfield cemetery.

Claude E. Agard, son of Clarence and Amy Agard, was born Feb. 12, 1885, at Goldfield, Iowa. He received his education in the Goldfield schools and grew to young manhood in that community.

He was united in marriage July 21, 1915, to Marie Westre, and Mr. and Mrs. Agard resided at Goldfield for several years, then moved to Eagle Grove where he was employed as an electrician. In 1939, the family moved to Webster City, the family home since.

Surviving are his wife, Marie, who is employed at Hotel Willson; one daughter, Mrs. Jack (Mildred) McClelland of Clarion; five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and four brothers.

Mr. Agard was baptized, in the Lutheran faith and was a member of' the Lutheran church at Eagle. Grove.

Agard Services Held Here Tuesday

Funeral services were held for Claude E. Agard 74, at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Foster funeral home with the Rev. Kenneth Torvik officiating and burial in the Glenwood cemetery at Goldfield.

Cliff Doty was organist for the services with Ivan Hutson as soloist.

Pallbearers were Fred Newman, Ralph Groves, S. S. Parkhurst, Jim Wearda, Ed Goehring, Louis Schmidt.

Mr. Agard died Sunday April 12, at the Hamilton county hospital.

Claude Agard Buried In Goldfield Cemetery

Claude Agard, 74, died Sunday at his home in Webster City. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon in Webster City with burial at the Goldfield Cemetery.

He had been ill the past two years.

He was born in Goldfield, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Agard. He is survived by his wife, one daughter Mrs. Jack McClelland of Clarion, and five grandchildren.

Claude E. Agard, son of Clarence and Amy Agard, was born Feb. 12, 1885, at Goldfield, Iowa and passed away Sunday April 12, 1959, at the Hamilton county hospital, at the age of 74 years and 2 months.

He received his education in the Goldfield schools and grew to young manhood in that community.

He was united in marriage July 21, 1915, to Miss Marie Westre. For several years following their marriage Mr. and Mrs. Agard made their home at Goldfield. They then moved to Eagle Grove, Iowa, where Mr. Agard was employed as an electrician. In 1939 the family moved to Webster City, the family home since.

He is survived by his wife and one daughter Mildred, Mrs. Jack McClelland of Clarion. There are five grandchildren.

Mr. Agard was baptized in the Lutheran faith and was a member of the Lutheran church at Eagle Grove. He was a kind and devoted husband and father, a very thoughtful man who was always interested in the welfare of his family.

Services were held at the Foster Funeral Home in Webster City, Rev. K. R. Torvik of Eagle Grove officiated. Burial was in Goldfield cemetery.
