Jennie Sebert Knutson
5 August 1892 --- 16 September 1978

Jennie Knutson, daughter of Christ and Edith Pletcher Sebert, was born August 5, 1892, in Troy Township, Wright County, Iowa. She attended the Head Grove School and Allen School in Eagle Grove.

On February 1, 1911, Jennie Sebert and Isaac Knutson of Eagle Grove were united in marriage at Fort Dodge. They farmed south of Eagle Grove for two years and east of Eagle Grove where they lived until Isaac's death in 1957. Jennie continued her residence on that farm until March, 1977, at which time she moved to Rotary Ann.

Jennie was a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church and a charter member of the K.Y.N. Club.

Jennie died Saturday, September 16, 1978, at the Rotary Ann Nursing facility, Eagle Grove. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and two brothers, Frank and Orville Sebert. Survivors include her son, Eugene H. Knutson of Newton, Kans., three grandchildren and two sisters, Hattie Pyle of Eagle Grove and Lillian Ambrose of Clear Lake.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 20, at 10 a.m. at the Evangelical Lutheran Church, Eagle Grove. Rev. Marvin Berkeland will officiate and burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery, Eagle Grove.
