R. L. Pletcher dies at 86

Ralph L. Pletcher, 86, died Sunday, Nov. 1, at the East Lane Manor Home in Jewell. A retired Clarion area farmer, he had resided at home for the last 6 weeks, but previously had been living in Webster City for the last 12 years.

Services will be held Tuesday, at 1:30 p.m. at the Holmes Baptist church in Holmes, Iowa. Burial will be in the Glenwood Cemetery at Goldfield.

Survivors include his wife, Evelyn of Jewell; six daughters, Mrs. Harry Kolbeck, Webster City, Mrs. Clair Bosworth, Webster City, Mrs. William Marrs, Oak Lawn, Ill., Mrs. Melvin Peyton, Dougherty, Ia., Mrs. Edward Laurisch, Chicago, Ill., and Mrs. Eddie Amosson of Clarion; one sister, Mrs. Edna Reichter, Eagle Grove; 27 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren and two great-great- grandchildren.
