H. M. Larson Dies in City
Horace M. Larson, 77, 530 Walnut street of this city, died this morning at 6:55 at Hamilton county hospital where he had been a patient the past week. Mr. Larson suffered a broken hip in a fall a week ago, but had been in failing health the past 15 years.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the McCauley-Chapman funeral home with Rev. W. R. Yard of Iowa Falls officiating. Burial will be in the Eagle Grove cemetery.

Horace Melvin Larson was born July 22, 1871 at Beloit, Wis., son of Torkel and Helen Larson. When he was three months old, he moved with his parents to Pocahontas where he grew to young manhood. He received his education in the Pocahontas schools and engaged in farming in that community. In 1943 he moved to Webster City and this had been his home since.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Mrs. H. E. Oleson of this city, and twin brothers, who died in infancy. Survivors include his wife, two sisters, Mrs. Cora Hunter, of Fonda, and Mrs. John Keena of Eagle Grove and a brother, Ira Larson of Pocahontas.
