The funeral of Sever Groth, of Thor, was held at his home in Thor on Monday and interment took place in Rosehill cemetery here. Mr. Groth was a prominent man of Thor, having been mayor, and was also secretary of the Humboldt Mutual Insurance Association. He went to Waterloo to visit and was taken ill. An operation was performed at the hospital in Waterloo and he died a few days later. He was absent from home only about a week. He was about 53 years of age. O. K. Groth southwest of town is a brother.
