October 10, 1900 --- February 13, 1987

Frank Todd Withers, 86, longtime Webster City area resident, died Friday, Feb. 13 at Crestview Manor. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 17 at Asbury United Methodist Church with Rev. Vernon Sorensen officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery at Eagle Grove. Graveside Masonic services will be conducted by Acacia Lodge 176 A.F. and A.M. Friends may call at the Foster Funeral until 9 a.m. Tuesday.

Frank Todd Withers, son of William F. and Neva Hall Withers, was born Oct. 10, 1900, at Loogootee, Ind. At the Age of 14, he moved to Eagle Grove and worked at the family dairy there. On June 3, 1928, he married Eunice Horton at Nashua. The couple resided in Chicago where he was employed by Chicago Northwestern. The couple then moved to Woodstock, Ill., where he farmed with his father. In 1931, they moved to Eagle Grove and later that year moved to Webster City where he was engaged in carpentry work for many years. He retired several years ago.

He continued to live at 413 E. Curve Dr. Since Oct. of 1986, he has resided at Crestview Manor. Survivors are his wife, two daughters and one son, Charmaine (Mrs. Donald) Book of Ames, Cavanaugh Withers of Readlyn, Karen McDowell of Perry; 13 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, three sisters, Gay Lamfers of Pomona, Calif., Leona Trower of Gladstone. Mo., Hilda Crandall of Rupert, Idaho. He was preceded in death by one son, Stanley, two grandsons, his parents, four brothers and two sisters.

He was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church and a former member of Acacia Lodge 176 A.F. and A.M. He was also a former member of the carpenters union.
