Mrs. Glenn Samuels funeral Tuesday
Funeral services for Mrs. Glenn Samuels, 67, were held Tuesday afternoon in the Lake Lutheran Church with burial in Glenwood Cemetery.
Rev. W. E. Carlson of Eagle Grove officiated at the service at 2 p.m.
Mrs. Samuels died Saturday in the Humboldt County Memorial Hospital where she had been a patient for a few days. She had been in failing health for some time.
She is survived by her husband, three sons, Duane A. Samuels of Hayward, Calif., Robert L. Samuels, of Ames; Gene A. Samuels of Lynwood, Calif.; two daughters, Mrs. Lois J. Fellows, Big Fork, Mont., and Mrs. Marjorie A. Elm, Long Beach, Calif. Other survivors are 12 grandchildren, and one great-grandchild and one brother, Arthur Gangstead, Des Moines.
Mrs. Samuels was one of the original members of the Lake Lutheran Church.

Vivian M. Samuels, daughter of James and Rose Knutson Gangstead, was born in Humboldt County, Iowa, January 4, 1906. She received her education in the Goldfield schools.
On May 19, 1924 she was united in marriage to Glenn Samuels in Fort Dodge and to this union five children were born. The family made their home in Goldfield before moving to Lynwood, Calif., where they resided 20 years before returning to Goldfield in 1972.
Mrs. Samuels was a charter member of the Lake Lutheran Church. While in California she was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church.

She had been in failing health and entered the Humboldt County Memorial Hospital three days before her death on Saturday, September 8. She was 67 years, 8 months and 4 days of age at the time of her passing.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother and four sisters.
She leaves to mourn her passing her husband, Glenn; three sons: Duane of Hayward, Calif.; Robert of Ames; Gene of Lynwood, Calif.; and two daughters, Mrs. Lois Fellows of Big Fork, Mont. and Mrs. Marjorie Elm of Long Beach, Calif.; 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild; and one brother, Arthur Gangstead of Des Moines.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, September 11, at 2:00 p.m. in the Lake Lutheran Church, Goldfield with Rev. W. E. Carlson of Eagle Grove officiating. Interment was held in the Glenwood Cemetery, Goldfield.
