The death of Halvor H. Warren occurred in this city last Friday, Nov. 6, 1914, following an illness of only a week. Funeral services were held from the United Lutheran church on Sunday, and interment was made in the Goldfield cemetery.
Mr. Warren had lived in Wright county 31 years and was one of our highly respected citizens. Halvor H. Warren was born in Skjold prestegjeld, near Haugesund, Norway [Rogaland], April 12, 1833. He was married in 1862 to Miss Inger Ness. They came to America in 1866, locating in Leland, Ill. Four children were born to this union, two of whom are now living. In 1868 his wife died. In 1870 he was married to Miss Regina Olson. In 1873 they moved to Iowa, locating near Cambridge and in 1883 they moved to Wright county. To this second union eight children were born, five of whom are living. Besides his wife, the following children mourn his loss: Mathias Warren, Bakersfield. Cal.; Burton Warren, Chicago; Charles, Henry and Hannah Warren of Eagle Grove; Enoch Warren of Cabery, Ill.; Anna Warren of Eagle Grove.
Those from out of town attending the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. O. K. Olson of Des Moines, M. K. Olson and A. H. Warren of Leland, Ill., M. H. Warren, of Bakersfield, Cal., Enoch Warren of Cabery, Ill., A. H., J. K., Willie and Budd Olson and Mrs. Orville Ryan, of Cambridge, Iowa, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Johnson, and Mr. and Mrs. Martin Hauskin of Duncombe, Iowa.

[The funeral was held at the United Lutheran church Sunday afternoon. Rev. H. A. Okdale speaking in English and Rev. L. P. Erland of Irven spoke in the Norwegian language. The interment was in the cemetery at Goldfield.
