Former Resident Dies In Minneapolis
Burial services for Miss Anna Warren, a former Eagle Grove resident, were held Monday afternoon at the Goldfield Cemetery. She died Aug. 28th at the age of 71 in Minneapolis, Minn. Miss Warren was born at Sheldahl, Iowa, on July 6, 1883 and her parents were Mr. and Mrs. Halver Warren. She is survived by her sister, Hannah Warren of Minneapolis and a brother Enoch Warren of Kempton, Ill. Miss Warren was graduated from St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minn. and had taught in several Minnesota communities.

Justice Warren's Aunt, Teacher in City, Dies at 71

Anna Warren, 71, 825 Fourth avenue S., an aunt of Chief Justice Earl Warren of the United States Supreme Court, died Saturday. Miss Warren was born in Sheldahl, Iowa, and graduated from St. Olaf college. Northfield, Minn. She taught English in public schools in several Minnesota communities from 1903 to 1920, and from 1947 to 1954. In the years between, she was an insurance agent in Minneapolis for Mutual Trust Life Insurance Co., and more recently, for Union Central Life Insurance Co. of Cincinnati, Ohio. She helped organize Sunday school for the Central Lutheran church, and was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran church. Miss Warren also belonged to the Arthur MacArthur post of the United Spanish War Veteran's auxiliary, the American Association of University Women, the Ladies of the G. A. R. Columbus Circle, and the St. Olaf College alumni association.

Survivors include her sister, Hannah J. Warren, Minneapolis, and a brother, Enoch Warren, Kempton, Ill. Services will be held at 7 p.m. today at Enger mortuary, with burial Monday at Goldfield, Iowa.
