Dorothy Lonetta Cameron, age 70, died Sunday, January 6, 1980, at Trinity Regional Hospital, Fort Dodge. She had been a patient there since Monday, December 31, 1979. Dorothy had become ill after suffering a series of heart attacks since August 31.
Dorothy was born in Texas [Del Rio, Val Verde, Texas] on December 7, 1909 to Edwin and Jessie Campbell Cameron. When she was very young, the family moved to a farm near Livermore and Dorothy attended school in Livermore. The family then moved to a farm north of Goldfield. In 1953, they moved to Eagle Grove. Dorothy was a housekeeper for her parents and brothers.
Survivors include six brothers: John Cameron of Storm Lake, Alan Cameron of Spanish Forks, Utah, Leonard Cameron of Osage, Ben Cameron of Anchorage, Alaska, Russell Cameron of Renwick, Robert Cameron of Ames. Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Paul, Donald, and Vein.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, Jan. 9 at 2 p.m. at the United Methodist Church, Goldfield. Reverend Lester Hancock officiated and burial was in Glenwood Cemetery, Goldfield.
