Mrs. P. C. Rasmussen, 91, Dies at Goldfield Home
Mrs. P. C. Rasmussen, 91, a resident of this vicinity for the past sixty years passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. R. H. Godfredson, Saturday evening, following an illness of short duration. Mrs. Rasmussen had taken pride in keeping up her own home, until lately when due to illness she was forced to give up her home and live with the daughter.
The deceased was born in Denmark on Sept.12, 1842 and came to this country in 1875, settling on a farm northwest of Goldfield where she resided until several years ago when she moved to Goldfield.
She was the mother of nine children, six of whom survive. They are Fred A., Hans P., of Goldfield, Mrs. Minnie Christenson, Mrs. Anna Godfredson of Goldfield; Chris L. of Renwick, and Rasmie N. of Lyons, Mich.
Funeral services were held at the United Presbyterian church on Monday afternoon with Rev. R. M. McCracken in charge. Burial was made in the family lot in Glenwood cemetery.
