5 April 1891 ---- 10 October 1981

Edna Pletcher was born to Daniel and Saloma Seal Pletcher, April 5, 1891, on a farm just south of Eagle Grove, Iowa. Her parents moved to a farm north of Holmes, where she spent her early years, and received her education in a rural school near Holmes.

She was united in marriage to Asa H. Reichter, of Goldfield, on May 10, 1909, at Goldfield, Iowa, and lived on farms near there until moving to Eagle Grove in 1942. Asa Reichter passed away in Eagle Grove, in 1956. Mrs. Reichter moved to the Rotary Ann Retirement Home, Eagle Grove, in 1978, and passed away there on October 10, 1981.

She professed Christ as her Saviour and followed him in baptism in the Boone River at Goldfield, July 8, 1906. At the time of her death, she was a member of the Holmes Baptist Church.

Her survivors are her son, Verven Reichter, Goldfield; daughter, Blanche (Mrs. Frank) Peterson, Houston, Tex.; daughter-in-law, Lois Reichter, (Widow of Richard), Goldfield; also nine grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and 10 great-great grandchildren. She loved each of them dearly, and also prized her many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son, Richard Reichter, and 16 brothers and sisters.

Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, Oct. 13, at the Holmes Baptist Church, the Rev. Frank M. Peterson of Houston, Texas, officiated and burial was in Glenwood Cemetery, Goldfield, Iowa.
