Mrs. Lars Moss funeral in Clarion
Mrs. Lars Moss, 80, died Saturday at Clarion Memorial Hospital. Services were at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. John's Catholic Church with burial in St. John's Catholic Cemetery. Surviving are the widower, daughter, Mrs. Vincent Hansen, Sr., Clarion; step-daughters, Mrs. Norris Skadburg, Goldfield; Mrs. Mildred Edwards, Clarion; stepsons, Olaf and Martin Moss, both of Clarion; Orville Moss, Eagle Grove; Harold Moss, Webster City; one grandson; two great-granddaughters; several step grandchildren and step-great grandchildren; and sister, Mrs. Hattie Castleman, Englewood, Colo.Florence Watson was born in Arkansas and moved to Iowa at the age of 25. She married Arthur Earl Cox in 1914 in New Mexico, and they lived at Santa Rosa, N.M., before moving to Kansas City, Mo., where he worked for the railroad. They moved to Clarion in 1923 and Mr. Cox died in 1932. She married Lars Moss in 1946 at Clarion and they farmed southwest of town until 1947 when they moved in to Clarion.
