Ruth Anna Maxon, 85, Of Waseca, [Minnesota] formerly of Eagle Grove, died Wednesday, March 2, 2005, at the Lake Shore Inn Nursing Home in Waseca. Burial will be held at Rose Hill Cemetery in Eagle Grove at a later date. Memorials are preferred to Waseca Area Hospice.

Ruth Anna Satterlee was born in Chamberlain, South Dakota, on November 21, 1919, the daughter of Frank and Alma (Bailey) Satterlee. She attended school in Chamberlain, S. D. She married E. Keith Maxon on January 30, 1938, in Eagle Grove. She raised her family in Chamberlain, S.D., before moving to Eagle Grove in 1954. She continued to reside in Eagle Grove until she moved to Waseca for health reasons to live with her daughter-in-law. She enjoyed gardening, nature, and cooking for family and friends.

She is survived by two sons, Steve Maxon and his wife, Dorothy, of Florence, Ariz., and Orville Maxon and his wife, Sherril, of Bellevue, Neb.; one daughter-in-law, Kathy Maxon of Waseca; 10 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son, Keith, one brother, Alfred, and one sister, Alice. Kinder-Dennis Home for Funerals in Waseca is handling arrangements.
