Graveside services were held Wednesday, Sept. 18 at 1:30 at Rose Hill Cemetery for Osmund Amosson, 77. of Garner. Mr. Amosson died Saturday evening Sept. 14th. Funeral services were Wednesday 10:30 a. m. Sept. 18 in the Ellington Prairie Lutheran church near Garner, Pastor Arno Frericks officiated.

Mr. Amosson was a former resident of Eagle Grove and farmed in the Goldfield area for many years, moving near Garner in 1947. He was the last living member of his immediate family. He was born at Stavanger, Norway, March 25, 1886, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Osmund Amosson. He came to the United States at the age of 17. On Jan, 11, 1911, he was married to Sadie Weland. They farmed in Wright County until 1947 when they moved to their present home near Garner.

Surviving are his wife; one son, Rudy of Goldfield; three daughters, Mrs. Walter McCormick of Eagle Grove; Mrs. Everett Matson, Redmond, Wash.; and Mrs. John L. Oren, Seattle, Wash.
