Mrs. M. Amonson, 57, Died Tuesday
Mrs. Martha Amonson, 57, died suddenly Tuesday morning in a hospital in Watertown, S. D., after a short illness. Mrs. Amonson had been in poor health for some time but it was not known by relatives here of her serious condition.

Mrs. Amonson is survived by two daughters and two sons, Mrs. Wendell Johnson of Kanawha, Mrs. Delbert Hunt of Fargo, N. D., Omer and Miller Amonson of this city.

Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the East Side Lutheran church with interment In Rose Hill cemetery.

Martha Thompson was born to the parents, Thomas and Anna Thompson in Polk county, Iowa, July 30, 1878, and died in Watertown, So. Dak., Tuesday morning, April 3, 1934, age 55 years, 8 months and 4 days.

She was baptized into Christ Jesus, received instruction and confessed her Christian faith. She came to Wright county with her parents to the vicinity of Nuel. In 1895 she was united in marriage to Severt Amonson and for 30 years they lived near Nuel, where Mr. Amonson died July 15, 1925. Six children were born to them, one died in infancy and Martin, died March 23, 1931. The following are living - Omar Amonson, Eagle Grove, Miller Amonson living near Eagle Grove, Mrs. Anna Johnson, Kanawha and Mrs. Theressa Hunt of Watertown, So. Dak. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and two brothers, Arthur Thompson of Vincent and Nels Thompson of Eagle Grove, together with a large number of relatives and friends.

Mrs. Amonson was a kindly, disposed lady. While she and her husband lived they were sure to be in church on Sunday. Now after that time, whenever she has been in this vicinity we would be as sure to see her at worship on the Lord's day. She was to you children, a good mother. May the Lord be permitted to bless to you her memory.

Funeral services were held Friday afternoon from the home of Mr. and Mrs. Omar Amonson and from the Eagle Grove Evangelical Lutheran church. Burial was made in the family lot in Rose Hill cemetery.

The following from out-of-town were present at the funeral: Ted Thompson and son, Morris of Algona, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. A. Johnson of Calendar, Mrs. H. K. Hill of Fort Dodge, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Morris, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Smith and son, Alfred, Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Johnson, Seward Anderson of Britt, Mrs. Nellie Thompson and family of Kanawha, Mrs. J. B. Johnson, Mrs. A. R. Lewison, Mrs. Fred Almy, Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Hill, Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Johnson, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Johnson, Wm. Gunsell, Opal Rust of Kanawha and Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Thompson of Vincent.
