MRS, MYRA AGAARD PASSED AWAY AT RENWICK MONDAY

Special to the Independent—

RENWICK—Mrs. Myra Agaard died early Monday morning of heart disease. She had not been well during the last few weeks and became ill with a severe cold last Saturday. She was 73 years old.

Mrs. Agaard's home was in Renwick and she had been in the habit of spending the winter months with her daughter, Mrs. Walter Phipps in Renwick. It was there where she died. Besides Mrs. Phipps, she leaves other children at Goldfield.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete.

Mrs. Agard, Pioneer of Wright, Is Buried

GOLDFIELD—Mrs. Myra Agard, 77, pioneer Wright county citizen, died at the home of her daughter; Mrs. Walter Phipps, Sunday following a short illness. Mrs. Agard had resided here nearly 60 years, had kept up her own home here until recent years, when, due to failing health, she made her home with her children. Funeral services were held Wednesday.

Mrs. Myra Agard, 77, Dies at Renwick Home

Mrs. Myra Agard, 77, passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Walter Phipps at Renwick on Sunday. Mrs. Agard, a resident of this vicinity for nearly sixty years had made her home here until failing health compelled her to give it up in recent years. Since that time she has made her home with her children.

Funeral services were held at Renwick on Wednesday afternoon. Burial was made in the Glenwood cemetery.

Obituary

Myra Catherine Benedict was born, 77, years ago at Finnicord, Wis., in Boscobel county and passed away at the home of her daughter at Renwick, Iowa, on Sunday, April 19, 1936. She moved to Iowa at the age of nine, where she had since made her home.

She was married to George E. Agard on July 4, 1878, and moved at once to Goldfield at which place she continued to make her home until failing health compelled her to give it up.

Mrs. Agard leaves to mourn her death, ten children, thirty-two grandchildren and six great grandchildren, besides a host of admiring friends. She led an unusually full life of love and devotion to her family.

Mrs. Agard's Funeral Held Wednesday

Funeral services for Mrs. Myra Agard were held at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Walter Phipps at Renwick on Wednesday afternoon and burial was in Glenwood cemetery. Six of Mrs. Agard's grandsons acted as pallbearers.

The Burdette Agards were at Goldfield last week Thursday to attend the funeral of Mr. Agard’s grandmother, Mrs. Myra Agard, who died at Renwick.
