Richard J. Meyer
July 12, 1937 ---- December 12, 2019Richard "Rich" J. Meyer, age 82, passed away December 12, 2019. He was born July 12, 1937 in Webster City, Iowa to Byron & Josephine Meyer. He grew up in Dows, Iowa and served in the Army during the Korean War era. Upon his return to the States he graduated from Drake University with a B.S. in business.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Barbara Meyer; his sons Jon Meyer and James (Peggy) Meyer; his grandsons Gabriel & Luke Meyer; his sister Barbara (the late Ralph) Amend; and many nieces and nephews.
Services and interment will be private at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, Illinois. Memorial gifts may be directed to Midwest Shelter for Homeless Veterans, 433 S. Carlton Ave., Wheaton, IL 60187.
