Graveside service for Richard Cleveland, 85, is 11 a.m. Saturday at Glenwood Cemetery, Goldfield. Visitation is 10 to 10:45 a.m. at Foust Funeral Home in Eagle Grove.

Richard E. Cleveland, 85, of Goldfield, died on Wednesday, January 17, 2007, at the USA Healthcare Center in Clarion.

Graveside services were held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 20, 2007, at the Glenwood Cemetery in Goldfield with Pastor Robert Dishman officiating.

He is survived by his twin brother, Ralph E [R]. Cleveland of Clarion; nephews: Dennis Cleveland and wife Betty Jean of Dallas, TX, Roger Cleveland of Minneapolis, MN and Dean Cleveland and wife Gina of Clarion; great-nephews: Tyler, Matthew Cleveland and Brad Cleveland and wife Kim and great-nieces: Jennifer Reeves and husband Jeremy and Heather Bear and husband Dave. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister-in-law, Betty Cleveland.

Richard Earl Cleveland was born July 25, 1921, in Goldfield, Iowa, the son of Ralph E. and Pearl B. (Kassner) Cleveland. He was educated in Goldfield, Spencer and graduated from Eagle Grove High School in 1942. Richard served in the United States Army from 1942 to 1945, stationed in Europe during W.W. II. Richard worked as a mechanic for International Harvester of Goldfield and Clarion from 1947 until his retirement in 1981. Richard was a member of the First Baptist Church in Eagle Grove. He was also a member of the Goldfield American Legion Post #0370. Richard enjoyed riding his electric scooter around Goldfield. Memorials may be directed to Wright County Hospice or USA Healthcare of Clarion.

The Foust Funeral Home in Eagle Grove was in charge of the arrangements.
