EMMA MAE KELL
Emma Mae Kassner was born on March 17, 1900, the daughter of William and Alfretta Longnecker Kassner, at Chalmers, Indiana. She attended Brookston, Indiana Schools through the second grade, and continued her education in the Goldfield, Iowa School System. She was united in marriage to Ernest Kell of Eagle Grove on April 16, 1921, at Fort Dodge. The couple lived in Eagle Grove all their, married life. Ernest Kell died on August 14, 1989. She moved to the Bethany Manor Care Center in Story City due to failing health. She was a member of Samuel Lutheran Church in Eagle Grove.
Emma Mae Kell died at Mary Greeley Hospital in Ames on July 14, 1995. She had attained the age of 95 years, 3 months, and 27 days.
She is survived by her two daughters; Marjorie Tysdal and husband Anton "Tony" of Berthoud, Colo.; and Irene "Pat" Eldredge and husband Kenneth of Roland; six grandchildren, three greatgrandchildren, and one great- great-granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers, James and John Kassner, and two sisters, Ann Gallagher and Pearl Cleveland.
Funeral services for Emma Mae Kell were held on Monday, July 17, 1995 in the Chapel of the Willim Funeral Home in Eagle Grove, Iowa. The Reverend Carlton Shaw officiated the 10:30 a.m. service. Burial was in Glenwood Cemetery, Goldfield, Iowa.
Willim Funeral Home of Eagle Grove was in charge of arrangements.
