PASSED AWAY

Miss Rebecca Anderson Dead After Lingering Illness.

After several weeks sickness during which time she suffered almost constant pain. Rebecca, the eldest child and daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Anderson passed away yesterday afternoon, death ending her suffering. It was not unexpected, for it has been generally known that she has been failing fast of late. Since a young girl she has been in very poor health, and some six weeks ago suffered a stroke of apoplexy from which she rallied but little and gradually declined, her ailment drifting into tuberculosis. The family have the sympathy of the community in their sad bereavement.

The funeral will be held today, and Rev. Hoelscher will conduct the service.

DEATHS AT GOLDFIELD

Three of That City’s Residents Pass Away.

This community has been saddened by three deaths in less than a week. Miss Rebecca Anderson, eldest child of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Anderson, of North Main St., died on Thursday May 10, at 2 p. m., aged twenty-three years and seven months. She had been a sufferer for several years and an intense sufferer for several weeks, final cause of death being tuberculosis. Brief services were held at the home Saturday at 1 p. m., and at 3 p. m., a funeral sermon was peached at the M. E. church by Rev. Hoelscher.

Rebecca was a kind sister and a good daughter, a kind friend and neighbor; A loyal member of the “Order of Rebekahs."

Her fellow members of this order were untiring in their efficient aid during her illness and the beautiful ritual of that order was observed at her burial. There was a large attendance at her funeral. The bereaved ones have the sympathy of this community. Relatives from Minnesota were in attendance at the funeral. May they all meet again in a better world than this.
