Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Lester and family of Waterloo spent the week end with Mr. and Mrs. Harry Lester. Mrs. Lester remained to attend the funeral of her uncle Millard Anderson in Eagle Grove.

Millard Hans Anderson was born north of Goldfield, on May 1, 1889. He died at his home in Eagle Grove on April 9, 1966. Mr. Anderson grew up through the school years at Goldfield. On October 29, 1919 he was united in marriage to Cleo Marie Carson of Yale, Iowa. To this union was born one son, Dwight Millard of Eagle Grove.
Mr. and Mrs. Anderson lived in Goldfield until 1941 when they moved to Des Moines. Then in 1955, they moved in retirement to Eagle Grove.
Mr. Anderson served in World War I and had been rewarded a 45 year membership pin in the American Legion.
Left to mourn their loss are: his wife, Cleo, one son Dwight of Eagle Grove; five grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Westbrook of San Antonio, Texas; Mrs. Henrietta Freeman and Mrs. Lillian Durocher of Des Moines.
