To hold Nov. 22 rites for George L. Larsen

George L. Larsen, 69, of Goldfield died Thursday morning in Humboldt County Memorial Hospital. Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Kastler-Babcock-DeYoung Funeral Home, Eagle Grove, with burial in Glenwood Cemetery, Goldfield.

Surviving are a brother, Clarence, Goldfield; sisters: Mrs. Rose Riggs and Mrs. Norman Peers, Renwick; and Mrs. Marie Gangestad, Hampton.

George Larsen was born and raised at Goldfield. He was employed by the Wright County maintenance department, retiring in 1962. He was a veteran of World War II. Two years ago he moved to Renwick to live with his sister.

Funeral service for George L. Larsen, 69, were held Saturday afternoon at the Kastler-Babcock-DeYoung Funeral Home with Rev. David Nelson officiating. Burial was in the Glenwood Cemetery, here.

Mr. Larsen died Thursday, Nov. 20 at the Humboldt Hospital where he was a patient for two days.

He is survived by one brother Clarence Larsen of Dows; three sisters, Mrs. Rose Riggs and Mrs. Norman Peer of Renwick and Mrs. Marie Gangestad of Hampton.

He had made his home in Renwick with his sister, Mrs. Riggs.

OBITUARY

George Lewis Larsen was born January 6, 1906, at Goldfield, Iowa, the son of John and Anna Laura Christensen Larsen.

He was educated in the Goldfield school, and farmed for a number of years.

In later years, he was employed by Wright County as a truck driver, he retired at the age of 62.

He had been making his home in Renwick with his sister, Mrs. Rose Riggs.

He died at the Humboldt County Hospital on Thursday, November 20, after being admitted two days earlier, at the age of 69 years, 10 months and 14 days.

He is survived by one brother, Clarence Larsen, Dows; three sisters, Mrs. Rose Riggs, Renwick; Mrs. Marie Gangestad, Hampton; Mrs. Norman Peer, Renwick; also numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, six brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, November 22 at 2 p.m. in the Kastler-Babcock-DeYoung Funeral Home, Eagle Grove. Rev. David Nelson officiated and burial was in the Glenwood Cemetery, Goldfield.
