Mrs. Maude Butz funeral Nov. 26
Last rites for Mrs. Maude Butz, 88, were held Friday at 2 p.m. at the Wilson Funeral Home. Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Butz died Nov. 23 at Mercy Hospital, Fort Dodge.

She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Bernice Johnson and Mrs. Marvel Elwood, three sons: Burdette and Keith, all of Eagle Grove, and Kenneth of Knoxville. Other survivors include, 16 grandchildren, 42 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren and one brother, Cecil Kepler of Fort Dodge.

Mrs. Butz was born to parents, the late Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Kepler, in Illinois on August 11, 1883. She was married to John L. Butz on May 2, 1900 at Owl Lake in Humboldt County. They made their home in Eagle Grove for many years. Mr. Butz preceded her in death.
