Last Rites For Jack Butz Friday
Jack Butz died about 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon in the state hospital at Cherokee. Funeral services will be Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Kastler Funeral Home. Rev. Lloyd Meyer, pastor of the Church of the Open Bible will officiate. Mr. Butz is survived by his wife, two daughters and four sons: Mrs. Marvin Johnson, Mrs. Marvel Elwood of Goldfield, Clifford Butz of Chicago, Ill., Burdette, Keith and Kenneth Butz of Eagle Grove.

Obituary
Jonathan Lindsey Butz was born in Ohio on February 23, 1873 and passed away Tuesday, September 28 at Cherokee, Iowa at the age of 81 years, 7 months and 5 days. He was married to Maude Kepler on May 2, 1900 in Goldfield, Iowa. To this union were born six children. Mr. Butz was employed as a mason and was with the railroad for several years.

Surviving are his wife, Maude, and two daughters and four sons: Mrs. Phyllis Elwood of Goldfield; Mrs. Berniece Johnson, Eagle Grove, Clifford of Chicago and Burdette, Keith and Kenneth of Eagle Grove. Mr. Butz is also survived by a brother, Marco Butz of Odell, Ill., and a sister, Mrs. Daisy Murray of Santa Barbara, Calif. Also left to mourn his passing are 15 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren and many friends.

Funeral services were Friday afternoon at the Kastler Funeral Home. Rev. Lloyd W. Meyer of the Church of the Open Bible had charge of the services. Burial was made in the Rose Hill cemetery of Eagle Grove.
