April 12, 1919 --- July 12, 1989

Lylian R. Hyatt, 70, 603 Robin Lane, died early Wednesday, July 12 morning at the home of her daughter, Bonnie Hyatt-Murphy, following a short illness. Her body is being forwarded by the Franzen-Davis-Bebee Mortuary for donation to the Montana State University medical program. No services are planned, and cremation will take place at a later date.

She was born April 12, 1919 in Goldfield, Iowa, the daughter, of Laurence and Lillian Griffith. She spent her early life and received her education there and has lived in Iowa for most of her life. She had worked for a time as an office manager/accountant, usually for automobile dealerships in Iowa.

Mrs. Hyatt came to Livingston in 1980 to be near her daughter. While in Livingston she had worked as a volunteer for the Livingston Memorial Library and she loved to read. She also enjoyed knitting and crocheting and loved people and traveling.

Survivors include two daughters, Bonnie Hyatt-Murphy of Livingston and Charon Sime of Rapid City, S.D.; three brothers, Lauren Griffith, Jr., of Greeley, Colorado, Jack Griffith of Clarion, Iowa, and Marley Griffith of Eagle Grove, Iowa; three sisters, Althea Douglas of Goldfield, Iowa, Bernadine Wilkerson of Webster City, Iowa, and Faye Smith of Dows, Iowa; four grandchildren, three great grandchildren and numerous nieces
and nephews.
