Iva Cecilia Hall
5 February 1889 --- 17 March 1983

Iva Cecelia Hall, the daughter of Ben F. and Ella Cronin Hall was born on Feb. 5, 1889 at Thompson, N.D. She grew up on the family wheat farm and received her education in the rural schools and later at the University of North Dakota and received her teacher's certificate. In 1906, she moved with her parents to Webster City, Iowa and for several years, she taught in the Wright and Hamilton County rural schools. Later, she moved to Minneapolis and was a practical nurse and helped several different families raise their children. For several years she lived in Pennsylvania and was a tutor. She also lived in the state of Washington and helped care for a sick relative. She had lived in Waterloo for the past 20 years.

She died on Thursday evening, March 17, 1983 at the Parkview Garden Care Center in Waterloo, at the age of 94 years, one month and five days. She is survived by four brothers, Roy B. Hall of Eagle Grove; Joe F. Hall of Waterloo, Jack Hall of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; and Frank Hall of Fort Collins, Colo. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and three sisters.

Funeral services for Miss Iva C. Hall, were held on Monday, March 21,1983 at 10:30 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Eagle Grove. Rev. Fr. John Hemann was the officiant and burial was in the Calvary Cemetery in Eagle Grove. Visitation was held at the Kastler-Babcock Funeral Home on Sunday.
