George Martin Kelling, Jr.
21 August 1931 --- 6 March 1974

Services were held Saturday, March 9, 1974 for George Martin Kelling, Jr. at 3 p. m. in the Eyler Funeral Home, and burial was in St. John's Catholic cemetery with Father Hoffmann officiating. Mrs. Paul Loomis was the organist. Interment was in St. John's Catholic cemetery at Clarion. Casketbearers were Charles Kelling, Joseph Kelling, Raymond Kelling and Richard Kelling, his brothers, and Burton Fitz and Kenneth Gardalen, brothers-in-law. The American Legion and the V.F.W. conducted military rites.

George Martin Kelling, Jr., son of George and Ruth Beer Kelling was born August 21, 1931 in Clarion. He attended Clarion schools and served in the Korean War in the Marine Corps.

October 22, 1949 he married Barbara Darland. He worked at the Boone Valley Co-op in Eagle Grove. He also lived in California and returned to Iowa and worked for a metal foundry in Washington, Iowa.

He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Ruth Kelling, Clarion, two sons, Rodney, Eagle Grove and Michael, Buena Park, Calif., two daughters, Mrs. Vickie Taylor, Buena Park, Calif., Cynthia, Buena Park, Calif., two sisters, Mrs. Burton Fitz, Iowa Falls, Mrs. Kenneth Gardalen, Alexander, and four brothers, Charles, Phoenix, Ariz., Joseph, Eagle Grove, Raymond and Richard of Clarion.
