Esther Marie Thomason Haines Pool
3 February 1892 -- 20 November 1986

Esther M. Haines Pool, the daughter of William and Jennie Thomason, was born on Feb. 3,1892 at Eagle Grove, Iowa. She attended the Eagle Grove schools. On July 5, 1915, she was united in marriage to Meredith Haines of Kenwood, Iowa. They lived in Eagle Grove. Mr. Haines died on Dec. 6, 1938. On August 19, 1958, she married Edwin J. Pool. Mr. Pool died Oct. 13, 1972. Mrs. Pool moved to Sioux City in 1982 where she lived until her death on Nov. 20, 1986. She attained the age of 94 years, nine months and 17 days.

She is survived by her son, Donald Haines of Sioux City; a step-son, Lewis Pool of Vermont; one sister, Hazel Thompson of Belmond; one brother, Wayne Thomason of Eagle Grove; three grandchildren; three step grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and four great-step-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held on Nov. 22, 1986 at 11 a.m. at the Kastler-Babcock Funeral Home in Eagle Grove with burial in the Rose Hill Cemetery. Rev. Kenneth Reiter officiated.
