GEORGE A. BROOKS
George Allison Brooks was born on December 18, 1935, the son of George Edward and Alice McMullen Brooks, at Schaller, Iowa. He received his education in the Schaller School System and graduated from Schaller Senior High School. He entered into the United States Army and was stationed in Oklahoma for the majority of his tour. He returned to Iowa following his honorable discharge and was united in marriage to Beverly Paulson on August 30, 1959, at Odebolt. The couple made their home in Goldfield. He was a salesman most of his working life, and was employed with the telemarketing group, National Teleservice Inc. of Winona, Minnesota at the time of his death.He was a member of the Goldfield United Methodist Church and the Choralaires of Clarion. He was active in the local Masonic Lodges. He has held membership in Sylvan Lodge #507 in Denison, Iowa and served as Master in 1974. After moving to Goldfield he joined the Fountain City Masonic Lodge #589 and served as Master in 1977 and 1978. He later joined the Bower Lodge #464 of Eagle
Grove and the Eagle Grove Chapter #123 where he also held the position of Master in 1991.George Allison Brooks died on Friday, August 4, 1995, at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, Minnesota. He had attained the age of 59 years, 7 months and 16 days. Survivors include his wife, Beverly Brooks of Goldfield; son, Steven Brooks and wife Kelly of Fort Dodge; daughters, Susan Wanken and husband Rick of Hampton, Denise Brooks of Mason City, and Toni Brooks of Clear Lake; seven grandchildren; and one brother, Robert Brooks and wife Virginia of Aiken, South Carolina. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, August 8, 1995, at the United Methodist Church in Goldfield.
The Reverend James Rozendaal officiated the 10 a.m. service and burial followed in Glenwood Cemetery, Goldfield. Willim Funeral Home of Eagle Grove was in charge of arrangements.Eagle Grove Eagle -- Eagle Grove, Iowa

GOLDFIELD -- George Brooks, 59, died Friday (Aug. 4, 1995) at St. Mary's Hospital, Rochester. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Goldfield United Methodist Church with the Rev. James Rozendaal officiating. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 3 to 9 p.m. Monday with a 7:30 p.m. Masonic service at Willim Funeral Home, Eagle Grove.
George Brooks was born Dec. 18, 1935 in Schaller. Survivors include his wife, Beverly Brooks of Goldfield; three daughters, Susan Wanken of Hampton, Denise Brooks of Mason City, and Toni Brooks of Clear Lake; one son, Steven Brooks of Fort Dodge; one brother, Robert Brooks of Aiken, S.C.; and seven grandchildren.
